The Domestic Plumber will attend residential homes to install and service central heating systems, install new bathrooms carry out general plumbing and fault finding for items not working throughout Northamptonshire.

The Role 

As a Domestic Plumber, you will carry out plumbing repair work across a range of contracts, including but not limited to insurance policy holders, housing associations and tenanted properties; in addition, you will be expected to help and support with installation work as required.

You will perform plumbing inspections, unvented hot water cylinder safety checks and occasional Legionella assessments (we will provide training where necessary). Furthermore, you will carry out heating wet work such as replacing radiators and valves, CH pumps, heating zone valves etc.

At David Whiting Solutions, we carry out our duties and perform to the highest professional standards, both in the quality of our work and from a health & safety perspective, and we would look to you to be an ambassador for these standards when interacting with our customers out in the field.

Domestic Plumber Position Requirements

At David Whiting Solutions Ltd, we recruit based on potential, values and fit, rather than just experience and qualifications. We are seeking a Domestic Plumber with:

  • A positive and can-do attitude
  • A flexible approach to working, providing support as and when required
  • Excellent practical knowledge of both plumbing and wet works
  • Significant experience within plumbing, ideally 3 years’ vocational experience
  • Experience of mentoring and supporting apprentices would be advantageous to your application but is not essential
  • NVQ Level 2 in plumbing and Heating or equivalent,
  • Gas Qualification
  • Based in Northamptonshire

Domestic Plumber Position Remuneration

  • Salary £31,000 – £36,000 depending on experience, pro-rata depending on hours worked if Part Time
  • Company Van + Fuel Card
  • Occasional Overtime
  • Full and Part Time roles available
  • Full Time hours 08.30 on site to 17.00 on site with 30 mins for lunch
  • Opportunity for additional training
  • 20 days Holiday + Bank Holidays pro-rata for Part Time
